Stockholm is a city built on islands. And with the archipelago near by, to go by boat is an excellent way to see the city. There are many different excursions to make from the city, checkout these three trips of different lengths.

It might seem strange to talk about spring in late March, but I do live in the north, and here in Stockholm, Sweden, it is just the past week that we finally can tell that spring is in the air. It is Nobel week in Stockholm. On Saturday, it is the day for the ceremony and the banquet in the city hall. So I thought I would take the chance and tell you a bit about one of the finest awards in the world: The Nobel prize.

You might think we swedes would be used to snow. Well, not so much as it turns out. At least not crazy November snow.

If you visit Stockholm, don’t forget to go to Riddarholmen, a small island next to the city center. Beside Gamla stan (the Old town) it is the oldest parts of Stockholm and has some very impressive buildings.
If you find yourself in Stockholm, where should you shop? This is a difficult question to answer. It depends on what you want to buy and which style you like. But one street you will definitely find yourself at sometime is Drottninggatan.
