Copper necklaces in the making

Copper necklaces work in progress

Work in progress

Sometimes I forget materials I have in my drawers. When I rediscovered this copper chain I realised that it would go so well with the turquoise ceramic beads I have. So I started to make a necklace.

I also plan one with black faceted onyx and matte black agate stones. So keep tuned!

Previously made pieces can be found in my shop or in my etsy shop!

Pick and mix candy

Pick and mix candy – is it so swedish?

Swedes eat the most sweets in the world. According to statistics from 2014 we eat about 18 kilo of candy per person and year. And I must confess that my family probably is one that brings that number up…

These pick and mix shelves are in every supermarket, and have been around since the mid 1980’s. When I was young it was quite expensive compared to buying other types of candy but today it is a cheap type of sweet. A normal price is 7 or 8 euro (8 or 9 US dollars) for a kilo, while a bag of sweet range from anything like 9 to 15 euro per kilo.

I have seen pick and mix candy shops in other countries, but I wonder how common it is with pick and mix shelves everywhere … how is it in your countries?

Looking forward to learning about your countries sweet habits!

New bracelets ready for my shop

More statement bracelets

So here they are, the bracelets are ready for my shop!

After I made my first statement bracelets I knew immediately that I would want to make more, it is so fun figuring out which stones could go with what beads. For these new ones, I actually did buy a lot of new beads, because I wanted the hues to be just right.

But before I bought the materials for these, I had also started making a braided leather bracelet out of cords I already had at home. In my Etsy shop I already have a black wrap bracelet and I thought it needs a friend. 😜

So I made this one, and to get the pattern just right I braided it with four cords. Now I am thinking I need them in more colours.

So I might have to go shopping again… 🙂

Lovely autumn – at least today

I have a kind of love hate relationship with autumn. If there was a way to skip the grey and rainy days… Unfortunately I live in Sweden… Grey is sort of standard for a few months. Or at least it feels like it.

This morning was no exception, and I was in such a bad mood. But this afternoon the sky cleared and the sun came out. So to lift my spirit I went for a walk, and today I took my camera with me to photograph some of the lovely colours of autumn.

I am working on editing photos of the bracelets I have been making, and I hope to show them to you next time.

Have a lovely autumn! 😜

Bracelets in the making

Bracelets in the making

Work in progress

So these are bracelets in the making. As you might guess the one in the middle is a real work in progress, so far just loose wires.

I have one more planned, with white freshwater pearls. I do hope I get to make that one and finish these soon. My situation at my day job has changed so that my work days are irregular. This makes planning my time more difficult.

Meanwhile you can see other bracelets in my shop and here in my Etsy shop.

Hope to be back soon and show you the finished bracelets! 🙂

New dangle earrings

New dangle earrings – my favourite kind

If you follow my instagram account, you might have seen the sneak peak of new dangle earrings I posted a while ago. Well now they are ready for my shop (I hope to get them up soon) and I actually ended up doing two more than seen in that post.

Three of them have rings that I have just had lying around for a very long time. But the new earrings are all long and dangly – my favourite kind of earrings! 😉

Find more earrings in my shop and on Etsy!

First necklaces this fall

So here they are, the first necklaces this fall. I still enjoy my beading as you can see. 😉

The blue bib necklace has such an amazing colour, I would say it is a deep cobalt blue, and such a contrast to the beaded choker and the leather necklace which are only grey scale.

I hope to have these new items up in my shop soon. And don’t miss a visit to my Etsy shop for more of my jewelry.
