I have a kind of love hate relationship with autumn. If there was a way to skip the grey and rainy days… Unfortunately I live in Sweden… Grey is sort of standard for a few months. Or at least it feels like it.
This morning was no exception, and I was in such a bad mood. But this afternoon the sky cleared and the sun came out. So to lift my spirit I went for a walk, and today I took my camera with me to photograph some of the lovely colours of autumn.
I am working on editing photos of the bracelets I have been making, and I hope to show them to you next time.
Have a lovely autumn! 😜
Work in progress
So these are bracelets in the making. As you might guess the one in the middle is a real work in progress, so far just loose wires.
I have one more planned, with white freshwater pearls. I do hope I get to make that one and finish these soon. My situation at my day job has changed so that my work days are irregular. This makes planning my time more difficult.
Meanwhile you can see other bracelets in my shop and here in my Etsy shop.
Hope to be back soon and show you the finished bracelets! 🙂
New dangle earrings – my favourite kind
If you follow my instagram account, you might have seen the sneak peak of new dangle earrings I posted a while ago. Well now they are ready for my shop (I hope to get them up soon) and I actually ended up doing two more than seen in that post.
Three of them have rings that I have just had lying around for a very long time. But the new earrings are all long and dangly – my favourite kind of earrings! 😉
Find more earrings in my shop and on Etsy!
So here they are, the first necklaces this fall. I still enjoy my beading as you can see. 😉
The blue bib necklace has such an amazing colour, I would say it is a deep cobalt blue, and such a contrast to the beaded choker and the leather necklace which are only grey scale.
I hope to have these new items up in my shop soon. And don’t miss a visit to my Etsy shop for more of my jewelry.
It’s almost the middle of September already. We had an amazing summer here in Sweden. It was unusually warm and sunny almost all the time.
This summer our biggest project was to change the wood panels on the family summer cottage. The boards have been through a lot over the years, and we weren’t sure they still would keep the house safe from fall and winter storms.
Before. The state of the boards, cracking and paint falling off.
Well, it is true. The stones made me do it. I was searching my bead cabinet for some misplaced seed beads, when I came across a bag of mixed odd stones. I had put it away not knowing what I would make of them. I can’t make a pair of earrings with one stone and, in the past, all my necklaces has been with many beads.
But now that I found it, I knew exactly what to do! Chain choker necklaces with single stones.
This is the result, five chain chokers with five different stones. From left to right: white howlite, purple amethyst. green moss agate, clear quartz and brown agate.
The seed beads I was looking for? Still have not found them.
I hope to have the chokers in my shop soon!
New statement bracelets
I had the idea to make statement bracelets by layering memory wire into a sort of cuff bracelet. And once I got going I almost couldn’t stop. This is how my first ones turned out.
Still stuck on layers as you can see! 🙂
These bracelets will be in my shop soon!
Stuck on layers
I finished the new necklaces that I told you about last week, and also made some others while I was at it. And all of them turned out layered. 🙂
Making more layered chokers
I enjoy beading, because it is like therapy. So at the moment I am making more layered chokers. The first one (purple) has five strands made and just need assembling. The second will be bronze and olive nuances. I just finished putting all the beads on the wire.
The earlier ones I made was only in a grey scale – black, white and grey.
I plan to do more of these beaded chokers, but when that will be only the future will tell. 🙂
Remember to check out my shop here, and also the shops on Etsy and DaWanda are full of my jewelry!
New earring design
I have often made necklaces with layers, but my earrings are usually simpler. I thought it was a good idea to make some earrings with layers too and came up with a new design.
Two chains with beads, and to start with made them in five colours. Which is your favourite?
I hope to have them available in my shop soon!
